House murals in Moscow

I always liked the gable-end murals in Belfast. Could never make up my mind if I preferred the romantic Republican ones (pictures of Mary-ish women in white dresses, doves flying free, Irish crosses etc) or the really full-on Loyalist jobs (flags, red hands of Ulster, more flags). But these babies in Russia knock them both into a cocked hat. From a suburb in Moscow, they look like something the GLC would have done in the ’80s to promote “tolerance” in some rough-arse inner London shithole. Mental.

  1. L'art dans la rue, aussi bien que dans un musée!
